Private placements for institutional investors
Finland’s growth-stage ecosystem ranks among Europe’s most dynamic.
Springvest opens it to institutional investors worldwide through structured private placement rounds in the tech companies that matter.
Co-invest in Finnish tech companies
Finland is a European technology leader with strong digital expertise, high R&D intensity and well-established deep tech, dual-use, defence and space sectors.
Springvest gives international and Finnish investors direct access to deal flow and private placement rounds in promising Finnish technology companies across Series A, Series B and pre-IPO rounds.
We work with VCs, CVCs, pension funds, and other professional and institutional investors primarily across the Nordics and Europe.
Institutional access, clear terms
For selected Finnish growth-stage tech companies, Springvest arranges a private placement after the public share issue which is open to Springvest’s community of 15,000+ Finnish retail investors.
Our private placement is a structured directed share issue for professional and institutional investors.
Terms are negotiated directly with Springvest as round arranger, giving investors a clear, efficient path into each round.

Why Finnish tech
Finland is a technology powerhouse. The country boasts leading digital expertise in Europe, strong R&D investment intensity relative to GDP, and well-established deep tech, dual-use, defence and space technology sectors. Venture investment in Finland more than doubled year-on-year in 2025.
Growth companies in Finland often reach a more advanced stage than their peers elsewhere before seeking outside capital, resulting in more mature technology. With less competing capital than in major Western European hubs, valuations tend to be more moderate, offering investors a more favourable entry point.
This means less early-stage risk and more competitive entry points for international investors.
Public co-financing from Business Finland, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and EU programmes further bolsters companies’ capital structure between rounds, reducing burn rate and making each funding round more capital-efficient.
Why private placement
Compared to investing independently or through a fund, here’s what a private placement model offers.
Investing directly
Building your own deal pipeline in Finland takes time and local knowledge. You source opportunities, run due diligence, negotiate terms and find co-investors independently.
It gives you full control, but requires significant groundwork in a market you may not yet have established networks in.
Through a Nordic VC fund
Investing through a fund gives you broad exposure to Nordic growth companies with an experienced local manager handling sourcing and portfolio decisions.
Capital is pooled and allocated across multiple companies, with the fund manager making investment decisions on your behalf.
Private placement, Springvest model
A private placement is a funding round offered directly to a selected group of institutional investors in a privately held growth-stage company. Unlike committing capital to a blind pool, here each company is presented to you individually and the decision is yours.
Rounds are typically led by a lead investor, whose commitment anchors the round. You co-invest alongside these institutions, with terms already set before the round opens.
What you get from Springvest
Springvest brings the deal to you, curated, structured and anchored.
Terms set, deal arranged, you decide
Springvest brings the deal to you: curated and fully arranged. Due diligence is complete and terms are set. The decision is yours.
Behind every deal is a team with hands-on experience across hundreds of Finnish funding rounds in total.
Finnish anchor capital supporting the round
Our private placements are anchored with €5–12 million from over 15,000 Finnish private investors and family offices.
Many rounds also include leading Finnish institutional investors.
Skin in the game
Springvest becomes a minority shareholder in every company after the round closes.
We don’t just arrange the deal and step away. Instead, we remain alongside you from close to exit, with a shared interest in each company’s long-term success.

Case ReOrbit: €45M Series A for a new space company
In 2025, ReOrbit raised a €45 million Series A to scale its software-first satellite technology for secure government and commercial communications.
The round combined a public share offering of €8 million with a private placement for professional and institutional investors, bringing the total to €45 million.
It was among the most significant funding rounds in Europe for a new space company that year.

Who qualifies as a professional investor?
